Safeguard American Food Exports (SAFE) Act

H.R.3355 - To amend the Horse Protection Act to prohibit the shipping, transporting, moving, delivering, receiving, possessing, purchasing, selling, or donation of horses and other equines to be slaughtered for human consumption, and for other purposes. 

When you know about horse slaughter in the USA, (Click here to learn more) you will want to know what can be done to save these forgotten horses.  What humane person wouldn’t want to stop the brutal and cruel slaughter of such magnificent creatures?  ... Exactly.  This is why there is currently a bill, sponsored by Representative Janice Schakowsky (D, IL-9), that would put an end to the ‘slaughter pipeline’ and stop the ‘kill buyers’ in their tracks.
